Science 20F – DISTANCE TIME GRAPH WEB ASSIGNMENT

1. Go to the following website:

2. Collect the times for the top five finishers in the most recent Toronto Indy race. Collect the averages speeds too. Collect the distance of the race. Put this information on a chart.
3. Draw a graph plotting distance against time for each racer.
4. What are some factors that affect the average speed over the whole race?

Biology 30S – vertical day.

Science 20F – Position and Displacement lesson and assignment.

Biology 40S – Go to DNA from the beginning website (http://www.dnaftb.org/dnaftb/ ) and work through the fourteen lessons on the “Classical Genetics” page. You must write down the problems and the correct answers for these fourteen lessons.

Consumer Math 30S – Finish up yesterday’s work.

Science 8 – present the last debates. Write down ten facts you learned from the debates. Write half a page stating whether or not you are for or against GMO’s. Use evidence from the debates to support your point of view.

Science 20F – Worked on "Who caused the crash" assignment.

Biology 40S – do “Mendel’s laws of hereditary foldable. Do MiniLab 10.1 - looking at pollen.

Consumer Math 30S – Ch 1 Exp 2 Performance- Based Income: Piecework. Do the questions p 25 #1-11. Do the research assignment on p 25.

Biology 30S – Corrected lab equipment book. Finished going through "Reading Strategies" information. Defined new vocabulary for ch1 – biology the study of life chapter using the three point approach.

Science 20F – vertical day. Quiz on symbols tomorrow.

Biology 40S – Corrected lab equipment book. Finished going through "Reading Strategies" information. Defined new vocabulary for genetics chapter (ch 10) using the three point approach.

Consumer Math 30S – Ch 1 Exp 1 Performance-Based Income: Commission. Do the questions on p 18, #1-11.
